Two flash portraits

An audience of forty members absorbed the information which Ian Boys disseminated in his talk of how to produce portaits using two flash guns and a little ingenuity. Ian demonstrated his techniques, using club members as subjects and the results were instantly displayed on a screen so that everyone could see the results.
An interesting and informative evening, thank you Ian.

First Quarterly Competition of 2012

There was a good turnout to hear judge Alan Towse give his comments on the many entries to the 1st quarterly competition of 2012.
The winning print was ’Bordelo‘ and second place was ’Gypsy with Pearl Earing‘, both by Paul Booth and third place was ’Red Sea Fish‘.
The winner of the digital image competition was Mike Wheeller‘s ’Affection‘. The joint runners-up were ’Gentle Lips‘ by Ian Boys and ’Izzy‘ by Jeni Harney.
